COVID-19 Reopening
Last updated: 5/31/2020 @ 6:00pm
Beginning May 25th, 2020 Phase 1 for businesses in Massachusetts is set to begin. Within this phase, gyms and athletic instructors will now be allowed to conduct outdoor related workouts, according to the guidelines set by the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, for Outdoor Education Programs. With this order in place, we are set to begin our reopening phase beginning Monday, June 1st, 2020, all while adhering to state mandates established for all business care practices.
Our reopening will also align itself with state reopening phases beginning with minimum capacity outdoor classes for Phase 1, in-door/on-site personal training sessions and limited on-site capacity for phase 2, and increasing on-site capacity for small group classes for phase 3 and beyond. We will continue to monitor the regulations set by the state of Massachusetts and the city of Boston, to ensure that all members and staff remain safe while we work towards achieving Phase 4 – New normal.
In order to achieve these goals in sufficient time, both the staff at R3VIVE and our members need to play our parts and adhere to the following guidelines.
R3VIVE Responsibility
As leaders in our community, we have a welcomed responsibility to our members, your families, and the City of Boston to provide the safest environment possible for training and learning. We take much pride in this and want you to know and feel confident that we are doing what it takes to deliver just that.
Please read below to learn how we are approaching the R3-Opening of R3VIVE Fitness and Member Responsibilities.
Clean facility:
- We will perform a deep clean of the facility before classes in the morning, noon and evenings (floors, bathroom, lounge, etc.), Along with thorough cleaning between classes.
- Equipment will also be cleaned before your arrival so that you can train confidently.
- We will provide access to sanitization and disinfectants to keep you safe.
Masks/Face Covering:
R3 Staff will don face masks AT ALL TIMES, to mitigate risk of an outbreak. We will also have masks for sale on-site for members who do not have their own or with to purchase one separate from what you may or may not have.
Small Group Training:
Classes will be capped at FOUR to accommodate for equipment and social distancing.
Workout Stations
Each member will arrive to their own sanitized workout station, with their own equipment for that day. There will be no need to leave your station or share equipment.
Posters and signage
We will post state mandated safety posters for staff and members in prominent areas of the gym in order to maintain compliance with the state and ensure a safe training environment for our members.
Member Responsibility
Class registration
Classes will be capped at FOUR for each class in the day. Registering for class has been flexible in the past, but now needs to be fully implemented and mandatory. This is non-negotiable.
Masks / Face coverings
Members are required to always wear a mask at all times when within or on the premises of our gym.
Sanitization
Mandatory washing and sanitizing of hands prior to entering and exiting workout station and/or gym. The gym will provide hand sanitizer but a member can bring their own if they choose.
Workout stations
Mandatory cleaning of equipment and workout station at the end of class. We will supply the necessary items for cleaning and sanitizing stations.
Use of facility
The inside of the gym will only be allowed entrance so members can use the bathroom quickly. Members must arrange with the coach on duty to enter the building to use the bathroom, or to grab any items from the lounge. Changing into and out of workout clothing will not be permitted at this time. We ask that you come prepared to workout by wearing your training attire ahead of time.
Social distance
In order to comply with mandates set by the state, we will space workout stations 12ft apart from one another to maintain social distance practices. Touching will not be permitted while on premise to ensure member safety of yourself and others.
Waivers and screenings
Our liability waivers have been updated and are now required to be completed before attending classes. Logging into Triib will alert you on these updates. Please be sure to read and understand these changes. Our waivers reflect that:
- Registering for class assumes that you have answered “No” to all screening questions.
- If you have tested positive, self-quarantine mandate will be in effect
- Self-isolate for 14 days THEN member must receive ONE NEGATIVE Test before returning to class.
In addition to waivers being signed, we will also ask the same screening questions to all members that arrive for class.
