Introducing our Gym M.O.M. (Member of the Month) for June, 2022 … PJ Fallon!

A constant morning warrior, PJ is a vital asset to our gym because of his work ethic, charm and sense of humor. PJ always finds a way to lighten the mood, no matter the day or the workout assigned!

Although PJ has moved away from the city and our gym, his impact on our community will always be felt!

Learn more about PJ below:

Q: What made you decide to start functional fitness training?
There are two things I truly hate- working out alone and boring workouts, so figured functional fitness could solve both those issues! I found R3Vive when I moved to the South End in June 2021 and didn’t look back.

Q: Are you a student/working professional/both? What do you do for a living?
Soon to be fun-employed! Though, currently I am COO of a Wealth Management group in Boston.

Q: What are your hobbies/interests outside of the gym?
Eating, sleeping, and hanging with my best bud (dog), Denny!

Q: What are some of your favorite movements (name up to three)?
Running, rowing, wall balls.

Q: What are your least favorite movements?
Pull-ups, devil’s press, overhead squats.

Q: What movements do you want to improve at?
Pull-ups, and improved since joining R3Vive!

Q: What advice do you have for someone considering our gym?
Do not be intimidated by functional fitness, the workouts, or the R3Vive gym. The coaches & community power you through any situation and become your family!

Q: What’s your favorite “cheat” food?
Cheat-foods are my normal foods.

Q: What is your guilty pleasure?
Mint chocolate chip ice cream or singing in the shower. Depends on the day.

Q: Do you have any nicknames?
Peej, Phantom.

Q: Tell us an interesting fact that we probably don’t know about you!
 I grew up in Bermuda!

P.S. If you found this helpful, share it with someone you know who's on one of these medications or is thinking about starting. Most people hear "you're losing weight" and assume everything is working perfectly. Now you know there is more to it and more for you to gain! Source: Metabolism — Clinical and Experimental, 2025

What is the March of Dimes? The March of Dimes is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health of mothers and babies, with a focus on preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. Learn more about the March of Dimes here. Why is it important to us? We are excited to host a workout in support of the March of Dimes and the South Shore Hospital NICU team. My sister-in-law, Amanda Dougherty, and my nephew, Owen Dougherty, received a lot of care during Owen's premature and traumatic birth. Amanda and her family will be walking on the SSH NICU/SCN team in the March for Babies walk on May 9th, and we would love to support her by donating to the cause and helping other families in need. When's the charity class? We would love for everyone to come join us, no matter your fitness level, in support of this great cause. The class will be hosted on Sunday, April 12th, at 11 am. T-shirts will also be available for purchase as a preorder up until March 27th. All proceeds from registration of this event and profits from all shirts purchased will be donated to the SSH NICU/SCN team under Amanda Dougherty. Donate and Jump into Class If you would like to donate more, you can go directly to Amanda’s page and donate here.
