Q: What made you decide to start functional fitness training?
I wanted to switch things up after doing the same strength training routine for a few years. I also hated doing cardio, so I liked that functional fitness built that into the workouts.
Q: Are you a student/working professional/both? What do you do for a living?
I’m working as a product manager at a robotics startup in Cambridge.
Q: What are your hobbies/interests outside of the gym?
In the winter, I love snowboarding. I’m writing this from Colorado where I’m about to get on the slopes! I also really enjoy traveling to new countries and experiencing new cultures.
Q: What are some of your favorite movements (name up to three)?
Pull-ups, overhead squats, and snatches.
Q: What are your least favorite movements?
Deadlifts and running.
Q: What movements do you want to improve at?
I’d like to build more overhead strength for inverted movements like handstand holds with shoulder taps.
Q: What advice do you have for someone considering our gym?
Give it a shot! The coaches are very welcoming and modify the programming for truly any level of strength/conditioning/skill.
Q: What’s your favorite “cheat” food?
Ice cream! Usually something with peanut butter.
Q: What is your guilty pleasure?
Binge watching TV on the couch.

I was the captain of my high school tennis team. I don’t play that much anymore, but I’m hoping to spend some more time playing this summer. Let me know if you’d like to hit with me!
