3-Step Intake: On-Ramp

Oswaldo Delgado September 20, 2021 Thoughts

Why we On-Ramp

“Movement is essential”. We hear that often and while it’s not untrue, we like to take it a step further and add to this claim that consistent, quality movement is essential. Whether it be bending and sitting to setup for your clean and jerk, OR bending and sitting to greet your grand kids, establishing quality movement patterns is vital for any function.

When working with clients, we strive to be as thorough and prescriptive as possible. To best serve you and accurately align you toward your goals and see results, it is important for us to understand how you move and how you learn.

Following Step 1 – Consultation, and Step 2- Body & Movement Assessment, we focus on dedicating time to addressing quality movement patterns in Step 3 – On Ramp. Here, we learn and practice proper movement mechanics.

We acknowledge that no two clients are the same which is why our On-Ramp is prescriptive and the length (2-5 sessions) is dependent on your training history, injuries, surgeries and/or movement limitations. We address these concerns in a one-on-one intro to fitness with our experienced coaches to build confidence and competence in the foundational movement patterns that will set you up for success in your program.

We have found that implementing a “patterns first” mindset provides clients the opportunity for more immediate growth and understanding. Whereas, speeding through proper mechanics is the fast track to plateaus.

Let’s be honest, quality movement patterns are not easy to develop on your own and can take up to years to master. Private On-Ramp sessions will accelerate the learning process by eliminating the guesswork and frustration that comes with learning it on your own.

Ultimately, our approach in on boarding our members is based on integrity and ethics. Our “do no harm” and “prescribe what is necessary” approach are based on the principles that guide us. Consequently, these principles develop excellent movers for life. While the On-Ramp is the final step in our 3-Step Intake, the learning continues well beyond these initial and valuable steps.

If you value long term results and a system that will address your unique needs and allow you to learn at your own pace, our 3 Step Intake is just what the doctor ordered.
